Nordost Tyr was probably our biggest surprise this year. Much bigger more authoritive sound than our old favourites SPM and Quattra FIL, in fact makes SPM sound weak and indistinct and QF harsh... I doubt many cables can supply anywhere near this level of detail ...a very difficult cable to fault ...until you hear Valhalla that is!!
Tyr only really comes into its own with top class systems of the level of Krell or Chord, but once installed the true potential of this cable becomes apparent. TYR is a stunningly natural cable which allows the music to flow. All question of tone or clarity becomes irrelavent, it is the music which grabs your attention and holds on to it until the end of the recording.
